Had the special 6 cod bites and chips and peas ..... So fresh and delicious best I've had for a long time
Wow! By far the nicest fish and chips I have ever had in my life. Freshly cooked, tasty, great portion size, value for money. Batter on the fish was crispy, not in anyway greasy. Chips were cooked perfectly. An absolute find of a shop having just moved to the area. My go to place! Thank you guys
Whilst caravanning nearby we happened to stumble across the chip shop and even though we could see a queue of people decided it looked worthy of the wait. We were greeted with a smile and received wonderful service. Due to the volume of extra customers (Steam Fair nearby) we were given bleeps and could comfortably sit in the car and wait our turn. The wait was certainly worth it, Haddock, chips and mushy peas, SPOT ON!. Would highly recommend.
Delicious white meaty fish in a light crispy batter and well cooked chips... What more could you ask for
This is my favourite chippy it is a fabulous place to get that special fish and mixed, it’s a busy chip shop but worth the queuing time, they have a great ordering system that makes the experience even better 5
Surprisingly difficult to find a good chippy around Sutton in ashfield so drove seven miles to wessingtons. Found it to be a charming traditional chippy serving delicious fish and chips. Caught them on a lovely sunny day so was nice to sit outside in the car park and eat them piping hot. Liked the queue system where you stand outside waiting and they give you a device once you've ordered that vibrates when your food is ready. Took about ten minutes but was worth the wait. Staff were friendly. The queue indicates the quality of the product.
Staying on local camp site, so took the chance to have traditional Friday fish & chips. Very busy & there is a reason why, the food is great! Haddock, cod chips, great size portions, fresh tasty and not swimming in grease. Congratulations Wessington chippy although busy, wait was not that long, efficient service and well worth it. Great experience and hope to be back next time we come through. Keep up the good work.
Absolutely love it here! Everyone is so nice, yet it does get very busy! (For a good reason though!) My personal fave is Battered sausage and chips. Nothing beats it.
